IDOLiSH7 - B's-LOG 10/2019 mini interview
IDOLiSH7 mini summer interview!
1. What's your summer fashion of choice?
2. What's something you want to eat in the summer?
3. Where do you want to go during summertime?
4. Which member best fits the image of "summer"?
Iori Izumi
2. Maybe something refreshing and easy to eat, like jelly. Different types are often presented in creative and original ways, so I never tire of looking at them. The kind that nii-san makes uses seasonal fruits.
3. I enjoy going to art and history museums. No matter how hot it is outside, you can comfortably enjoy the exhibits indoors. I also feel like aquariums might be nice this time of year... Though I personally have no interest whatsoever in the cute animals there.
4. Nanase-san, who was born in summer, suits the season well. He fits the image of the cheerful and bright midsummer sun, though he also gives off an unexpectedly different feeling when he's reading in his room. (1)
2. It's got to be an ice-cold beer straight from the fridge. It's great to drink one in the dorm when the AC is blasting, but since it's chilled, it's also delicious to drink out in the sun on a day like today. If you pair it with a summery appetizer like edamame, it's even better.
3. It's hot and crowded no matter where you go, so I'd rather relax at home. This indoor-type Onii-san's ideal summer would be watching TV while drinking and munching on Mitsu's homemade snacks.
4. Hmm... Maybe Yaotome? He was born in August, and he's such a passionate guy that his image kind of fits summer. Not a "peaceful and refreshing" summer, but a "so hot that it's stifling" kind of summer.
2. Festival food like takoyaki and okonomiyaki! It's really fun to walk around and look at all the food stands with everyone, eating along the way. For desert, I think of chilled pineapple! The pineapple we ate in Okinawa a while back was the best. And kakigori is great too~!
3. If we're talking about going somewhere, then an amusement park! They hold limited events during the summer, and there are some parks that have pools in them too. I'd want to go all out and play during the day, and then relax and eat some delicious food at night!
4. Probably Momo-san! He's the kind of person who brightens the mood wherever he goes, so I think he suits a lively season like summer. He's also good at surfing, and seems like he enjoys the midsummer sea to the fullest! ...But now that I think of it, Tsunashi-san suits summer too!
2. King pudding flavor ice cream. It's good in the winter, but even better in the summer. Genius. Also eating yakisoba at a beach hut. But it's good even if it's not at a beach hut.
3. When we went to Aichi, the kakigori I ate was suuuper delicious, so I wanna go eat that again. And I also wanna go to an amusement park like Mikki said. But I'll pass on the haunted house.
4. I don't really get it, but Ryuu-aniki. He loves the ocean, and he's always in things like swimsuits in magazines and seems all summery. In our group, maybe Mikki? But not Sou-chan.
2. It's delicious even outside of summer, but I think that spicy food suits the season well. Sweating from eating spicy food cools the body down, and since spicy food is a regional cuisine in many hot countries, I think it's a perfect choice.
3. I would love to go to an outdoor live. Listening to bands I love play their songs on a stage surrounded by nature... I can only imagine how incredible it would be.
4. If you'll forgive me for mentioning a member of a different group, Tsunashi-san comes to mind. Bright like the sun, he powerfully draws in fans with his endless charm and wild side, and with a respectable personality reminiscent of the clear seas of Okinawa, he fits the image of summer perfectly.
2. If I eat kakigori, I can forget the heat for just a moment. In particular, the harmony of Yamato's specially made shirokuma kakigori is supreme. It quickly cools my body down. (2)
3. As you know, summer is when the biggest and most important event of the year is held. If my schedule allows, I will embark on a pilgrimage to the sacred ground known as this event with my own two feet. (3)
4. Mitsuki and Riku's straightforward cheerfulness is as bright as the summer sun. However, because it's a pleasant sort of warmth, it may resemble the summers in my country more than Japan's summers.
2. Chocolate bananas at a summer festival! Cotton candy and candy apples are really good too. Tamaki and Iori also like sweet things, so I want us all to go try them together! I want to go to a festival with everyone!
3. I want to go to the ocean and light fireworks! Going to a theme park also sounds like fun, and I want to walk through a field of sunflowers, too! I can't choose just one, but if I'm together with everyone, I'm sure we'll have fun no matter what we do!
4. Mitsuki! He's bright and energetic and cheers up everyone around him, so I think it's perfect! His hair color is also bright like the summer sun, and it suits him really well. But if we're talking about hair color, then Nagi's is like the sun too!
TL notes:
I'm a little late, since summer just ended, but better late than never! To keep everything consistent, I'm using the official romanizations for the names of the characters.
1. Iori actually refers to this as a "gap" – it's different from Riku's usual personality, and able to be appreciated because it's not something that someone would expect upon first seeing him. If you've ever heard the term "gap moe," this is the same "gap"!
2. Shirokuma kakigori (polar bear kakigori) is a variety of kakigori (Japanese shaved ice) from Kagoshima flavored with condensed milk and various types of fruit.
3. As you may have guessed, Nagi's talking about Summer Comiket!
As always, thanks for reading! ♡
